TV Novice seeks expert advice....help!

Hello,

I seek advice on HDTVs and I must confess I am out of touch with current TV technology and what all the jargon means.

Here are my requirements:

* A 26-28 inch HD ready TV
*...that is under £300 (under £280 would be even better, but probably unlikely)
*....has amazing visuals (that's as technical as I get)
*...decent sound output capabilites
*...can double up as a computer monitor
*...has at least two HDMI slots for my PS3 and Xbox 360
*....is good for gaming in HD.
*....and that looks sleak, glossy and elegant, not like a matt black Tecknika model.

Can anyone recommend a good make and model that ticks all the boxes above, and more?
