My T220HD has been working fine for many months in TV and DTV mode - until recently I re-tuned the chanels on the DTV on 30th Sept without problem, but then I was looking through the setup options etc on my T220HD today and discovered that there was an alternative software available (ending...1004 instead of the one ending...1000). I realised that this was an upgrade and selected it. The instructions on the screen then asked me to push the blue button to confirm, so I did. The unit then turned itself off, then on again. No problem I thought - its just rebooting with the new software. Then it switched off again by itself, then on again by itself, then off again... and kept doing so. When it switches on, if I quickly switch to TV mode (from the TV DTV button on the remote), then analogue TV works fine. If I switch back to DTV it just switches on and off - too quickly for me to go back to the settings page to select the old software. How can I fix this please? Appologies - should be "update" not "upgate" in title - can't edit title!

I think you need to talk to Samsung about this, it does sound like there was either a problem with the update, or with the firmware flashing process. Perhaps they can suggest a fix. Either way, it sounds like Samsung should fix it for you.t

I took it back to the shop. They told me to take it home and that they would arrange engineers to come. The engineers came, tried it and took it away. They then returned it a week ot two later saying the fault was with the circuit board and they didn't know when they would be able to get a new one (no ETA). So I was given paperwork to return it to the shop where we got a refund last night. We now have an LG television instead! So no fix. Thanks for the interest guys, but nothing helpful for people here except that the software upgrades can wreck your Samsung circuit board with these models! Regards, Graham
