led series 8 - pc to tv instructions

hi

can anybody help we have just bought led series 8 samsung, we will live in cyprus and want
to watch uk tv, we bought the leads connected from laptop to tv (laptop sony va10) but nothing
seems to work, can somebody explain what we do , easy instructions pls.
