Work Shadowing ideas needed

Caution: Long, boring post below:

Now that the exams are over, my attention has been turned to the rapidly looming work shadowing week that my school is holding. In the week starting 06/07/09 all the students in our 6th form are expected to go on a placement in a company relevant to their chosen career choice.

This is where my problems start. On Friday, the company that I had arranged my work shadowing with pulled out, leaving me high and dry, with the school wanting to know where I am going by the end of the week.

As you may have gathered by now, this post is basically a plea to anyone reading it to help me find a replacement work shadowing placement before the end of the week. If anyone knows of a company in either Swindon or in central(ish) London that are willing to take on work shadowing placements at short notice that would be relevant to my interests, it would be greatly appreciated, if they told me in this thread.

Work shadowing differs to most work placements as the point is to see as many different job roles within a company as possible during the week. This means that very little work is done, instead the student shadows different people each day, gaining a greater understanding of the business as a whole. This has the benefit of meaning that no extra insurance is needed for the student- they are classed as a visitor.

The second problem is that I don't actually know exactly what I would like to pursue as a career yet. Because of this, the best placement for me would be one within a relatively large or dynamic company with a wide range of different jobs within the company. This would enable me to have a greater understanding of the professions that may be my future, and discount as many as possible.

These are just some of the career options that I am considering currently (as you can see mainly business/ tech related):
-Marketing
-Audio production
-Journalism
-Film production
-Business management
-Website design/ management/ maintenance
- Geology
- And many more
