Well, the USSR was the first super power to get a man in space, and I was the first one to post episode topics, so I can go along with that

I prefer to think of myself as Britain. Technically a nuclear power, but generally incompetent and contributing little of any value, apart from a veneer of respectability.

Yes, that's France.
Britain would be more like America's pet sheep who follows it around and does whatever it says without question.
