Hi everyone, I am new to this site. I instealled quick time for my game and after then my firefox will not allow me to see videos or pictures with plug in. I have already disabled the quicktime add on on firefox toolbar but the problem still has not gone. I hate internet explorer personally as its not stable but i got to use it for youtube. Anyone can help to fix this problem for me...I still wana keep my quicktime for my games. Thx

Hi there, welcome to the forum smile

You should be able to get rid of it by doing the following:

Click on the "Tools" menu, and select "Add-ons". You'll then be presented with a box with five icons across the top, the fifth on being "Plugins", there you'll find your QuickTime plugin. You may only be able to disable it though.

The box I mentioned should look like this: Click here for screen shot

Which version of Firefox are you using?

Currently using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11

I have tried to follow the steps and disabled both quicktime plug-in version 6.5.1 and 7.6 but still no luck with youtube... frown

Hope you guys can help. Thanks in advance

Since it's Youtube you're having a problem with, the next thing I'd do is go to Adobe's website, download their flash plugin and reinstall that. The theory being that the installation process will hopefully overwrite whatever has gone wrong with QT.

On a side note, do you really have to plug your website on the bottom of each of your posts?

Also, Quicktime does Games?

You don't have to click them, it's only like people having pictures as sigs on other forums.

And I'm equally confused. YouTube uses Adobe Flash, not QuickTime. Are you getting confused between the two?
