I know there's you main guys, the editors. But do you have other people working with you who are in the Televisions/Mobile Phones/Computer departments?

Just wondered how large the workforce was at CNET UK, just seems like there's about 12 of you laugh

It's about 200, actually.

Let's start at the top. There are 8 of us on the editorial team (who write and edit), plus several freelancers who contribute reviews on a weekly basis.

We have a video team of around eight people who handle shooting and editing footage for all of our brands, and they edit our audio as well and do our photography.

Our tech teams handle servers, our co-lo server farms, as well as all the Web site maintenance on a day to day basis. There are about 20 of them in total, some of whom handle HTML and design. We have separate teams for design and artwork, ad design and graphics for around the site. They do our podcast graphics as well.

Then of course there are our sales teams who sell ads, and the guys who make the ads work on the site. Probably 10 or so of these guys in total.

We have a whole team in Singapore who actually build our sites and the back-end content management systems we use, build things like our forums and recode the site when we make it black or when we implement video on new pages. Stuff like that.

We have international divisions for marketing overseas, marketing teams for handling marketing in the UK, HR people, and a huge call centre that sells direct marketing campaigns to massive companies around the world.

In total there are about 200 people at CNET UK, including all the people I've mentioned above, and writers and editors on all of our publications. There's about 600 in the US, including a massive news team who write a lot of the news you see on CNET UK.

Globally there are about 2,500 people, running about a dozen CNETs, and many more publications besides.

Yes, our tidy little Web site belies the size of our epic corporate HQ. Did you ever see our tour?

yeah, seen it in the past. The last picture is what made me always think that that was all of you though, gathered in a little group. It's pretty cool being able to pay GameSpot and ZDNet a visit when you want to, though laugh

Yeah, it's even more fun to browse their cupboards that contain practically every game you can buy. No bloody chance I would've bought Sonic Unleashed. No sir!

It's a really relaxed office really, and it's the culture here that makes it such a fun place to work. Everyone's a friend of everyone else.

that's what it's like at my work, except it's not as chilled out. Just a shame that a lot of the people I got on with the most have been laid off sad

Admittidly, I don't think it was worth the £40 I paid for it when I got it.

Oh man! People say murdering the innocent is a terrible crime. Frankly, I'd say charging £40 for that game is arguably even more serious.
