Use it as a Crave Podcast version of Room 101.
I'd like to add Linux because it is simply too much of a fuss to ask it to talk to my xbox 360 and connect to xbox live. Or ask it to use anything except a 3 year old wireless dongle without having to faff about in terminal. Nice as you are, Ubuntu, I'm sorry but I can't be bothered. Give me .inf integration and I'll love you. Windows XP, please take me back. Even OSX would do.

Ian, try this.

Mine would be Windows, because I have a deep mistrust of Microsoft and their products.

The terminal may be a scary prospect, although it gives you one thing that Windows can't, in the presence of helpful tech guru's.

Copy & paste solutions!

In windows, someone will talk, or screenshot, you through sets of menus. Although in any platform that has a terminal (technically Windows does too, but anyway ...), if someone has a solution to your problem, you can literally copy and paste code from browser to terminal.

Edit 1:
I'm a proficient computer user, but I'm no *nix guru by any stretch. When I was trying Ubuntu a month ago, I had two (relatively minor) problems that I had to fix with the terminal. In both cases, I just searched the web, and copied the solutions I found into my terminal. Instant fixes smile

Having said all that, I've yet to need to play about with drivers in Linux, so I have no experience to offer there ... yet. (I do need my laptop's webcam working in Ubuntu still).

Edit 2:
As for the XBox problem. If it were me, and I, being you, had a WiFi router, I'd probably pony up for the WiFi adapter, because I, being me, have found internet connection sharing to be a pain in the rear on Windows, and I, being me and you, can't face working out how to do it on Linux either.

Thanks for your suggestions men. Matt, I will try out your PCBSD suggestion when I have the chance. It looks pretty good.

For room 101 - I think I'd rant about battery life not being as good as I'd like.

Oh, and Asus botching the launch of the Linux Eee 901. Grrr.

BSD kills Linux. Fact.

BSD is so user friendly, and it's more... strong than linux.

yh tru that matt
i hav a quadruple partition on my computer
i have boot
vista
ubuntu
PC-BSD
OS86x (i hardly use it coz its pretty dangerous)

n i find that using PC-BSD is definatly the easiest

buh den vista is a for me my top OS because it for me the one which i can be the most productive with (sorry if i hit a nerve with da linux community but its my personal opinion)

btw i just want to say vista is a awesome OS, its jus got a bad rep from its original release (abit like when OSX first came out, n people were stressin ova its poor performance, now mac fan boys will dye for steve jobs n would kill for the latest version of OSX, so please dont playa h8 on vista, after all its pretty cool)

buh if this was purely based on linux then PC-BSD IS THE BEST!!!
