XP Drivers under Windows 7 Professional

Hello Folks,
I've got the following problem:
I have an older digital satellite TV card in my PC ( Pinnacle PCTV Sat bought in 2005 ). It worked fine for years under WinXP. When i got a new PC with Vista HP 64 on it I was sad to find that Pinnacle wasn't offering any drivers for it. And I couldnt get the XP drivers to work under Vista either. Now I've got the chance to get Win7 Pro for free from my university.
My question is, whether there's a possibility of using the XP drivers if I made that Upgrade. I've heard that it has an XP mode. Is there anyone with experience in that area? Any help would be welcome!
