Hi, my DX 4850 is driving me nuts, it keeps not working properly pictures are terrible. I don't have a lot to spend on a replacement and don't do a awful lot of printing but really want something that works. Any suggestions?

Not sure what your budget is, but if you want an AIO printer (printer & scanner) then have a look at the HP Deskjet F4280 (its about £75), or if you just need a printer then the HP Photosmart D5460 is a great printer and is currently selling for £69 via HP's site (normally £99).

If you don't do a lot of printing it might be a bit of overkill......You don't need to spend that much to get a good printer.... However it is a good printer, although perhaps on the larger side, so you may want to check it out in store to see how it compares to other models.

My screen printing company always give me advice about the printers I should be buying and generally speaking he says all the major names hp, epson, brother and canon will all do quite a good job but for home use its sometimes worth looking into those all-in-one types because those are really useful pieces of kit for the home.

@moggyjo, the canons are ok but expensive to run. depends on your quality vs cost demands. what do you need to print mostly?
