Can anyone help me to unlock iPhone?

I have a questions hopefully someone can help me out.
Has anyone used any unlocking software for iphones? Wanted to know how well it works. I unlocked my phone a year ago and never upgraded it after that

I jailbroke my iPod touch one time, not long after I first got it. But once the App store went live I didn't see the point in doing so.
