Hi guys I guess this must be a fairly common question these days I have just bought a 1080p plasma TV and want to put PC output through it via HDMI for films etc my current graphics card isn't up to the job so need replacing, I don't do any gaming or anything but would like to be able to read the text on the windows. in the current world we use laptops for day to day so this would be essentially used as a media player. so the big question is what is the best budget PCI-E card to go for, have looked at nvidea 9500gt at £40ish any thoughts would be appreciated

Hmm.. The 9500GT is a good choice i would go for a 1GB one as you will be out putting to very high resolutions i found a 1gb for £2 over your budget: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/154994 To be honest at £40 your not going to get amazing quality i spent £120 on my graphics card and its still considered a budget one.

I got a Gigabyte GV RX24T256H It was 20 quid from insight, and came with a DVI to HDMI adapter, works a treat. Andy Gaskell, SSOFB, web design and development in Aberdeen
