Spreadsheets on mobile phones

I'm looking to buy a new phone and one of the main features I'm looking for is to be able to work on spreadsheets - preferably Microsoft Excel compatible so that I can transfer them to/from my PC.

I'm not too bothered about e-mail or internet access, and am happy to buy one secondhand that's a year or two older if it does the job.

Does anyone have any recommendations?
