Looking for a new contract

I have a few months until my mobile contract expires, so I'm starting to look now for a new deal. I've looked around but not seen anything that has really stood out at me.

Here's what I'm aiming for in my monthly tariff:

150-200 minutes
200+ texts
Internet would be nice, but most of the time I use WiFi.
No more than £20

For usage, I have no set pattern. I call landlines and mobiles just as much, and I also call a lot of 0870 and 0845 numbers. T-Mobile Flex-t now covers 08 numbers, the least you can pay a month is £40 - expense fail.

As for handsets, I currently have an E51 I'm happy with, but I would consider an E71, N79 if I had to. (For handsets, I avoid phones with moving parts, and I'm not keen on touch screen phones, or I'd include the Nokia 5800 & N95. I would say N97, but I'll never be able to afford that). Having said all that, if I could pay £20 a month for a HTC Magic, I'd seriously think about it.

Any suggestions?
Ta'

Tempting, but £25 is a bit much for me and you still only get 100 minutes frown

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Vodafone my foot.

The HTC Magic is great - but it's not worth the 18 or 24 month contract Vodafone want you on.

My advice would be to go with Simplicity on o2. If you need a handset - just buy an unlocked one, you'll more than likely not be any worse off.

O2 offer a number of pretty decent deals - including one with 600 minutes, 1200 text messages and either unlimited web or unlimited wifi. I'd suggest that for the asking price of £20 - that's pretty reasonable.

Vodafone can bite me. After my years of service, all they would offer was a 12-month tie in for £20 with their craptacular 500mb internet thing thrown in.

Thanks Ian,
I may well go that route. I'm thinking the minutes and texts on the £9.79 package would actually do me. However, I was looking for the internet charges, and all it says is "UK browsing 98p max per day". I'm not actually sure what that means. Do they discount you the first 98p? If so what do they charge after that? Or are they only letting you do 98p's worth of browsing on that tariff?

Hahaha - good show :-)

According to O2's T&C's it seems that 98p charge is the most they charge, and after that I have "unlimited" internet use for the rest of the day. Seems too good to be true.

I think when they put a price on browsing, they mean you can browse for £1 a day. Vodafone do a similar thing. It won't cost you more, but surf every day and you'll cough-up £30 a month.

Best value surfing pack is Three. I think they charge 50p a day for 'FUP' browsing.

I've tethered my phone on their service though, and had no problems.
