Android 1.6 Donut, When are we getting it?

I have an HTC Magic on Vodafone and am wondering both when the Android 1.6 update will be available to me, and also how I'll be able to download it?

I know T-Mobile US are offering it to their Android customers, is there any news of when it will be coming to the UK?

Does anyone know anything about the UK android update?

It's an Over-the-Air update, so when it's out your phone will upgrade right away, or at least tell you that it has to.

If anyone is waiting for Donut on the HTC Hero you're not as fortunate. Being a customised version of Android, it doesn't have access to all the same facilities as full-on Adnroid phones, including over the air updates.

Well I hope we get it before the end of the year.

Yeah, especially if you have the Hero on T-mobile. I don't know how long I waited for the new ROM, think it was like 3 weeks after orange customers got it

You should now have the update on the Magic, I have the same setup (Magic on Vodafone) and got it this morning. Some nice additions, new market looks better but my hacked touch keyboard no longer works so had to remove.

Will it not work if you try re-hacking it? Or is it because it's the Hero's keyboard.
