I'm new to these forums, and to everything computurized for that matter, but i need help in buying my daughter a laptop for christmas. she is at 6th form college hoping to go onto university. at the moment she studies art and design, history and english lit. so my question is what do i look for in a laptop which will suit her needs now and later at college. she is starting a graphics course soon so i presume a large memory would be a key factor.
you help would be appreciated.

The above thought is smart and doesn’t require any further addition. It’s perfect thought from my side.

Hi Rory I need some help. My son is going into Year 10 in september and will be doing mostly media options for his GCSE, so will be using media software etc and will be doing video editing. Could you please recommend some laptops for him. As he is severely dyslexic all his coursework will have to be done on the PC, he is also a keen gamer.
Thanks

Hi

I need a DESKTOP PC which will enable me to work with Autocad 2007.
My current Desktop PC is about three years old and suffers from the hiccoughs when working with large blocks or seizes up altogether.
I will probably elect to buy a Dell but don't know which one, any help you can offer will be appreciated.
I do also use the latest version of Microsoft Flight simulator so the graphics need to be good

Hello, my name is Bev and I am pulling my hair out!!
I have an Acer laptop which crashed the other night. I tried to carry out the chkdsk and system restore and it wouldn't budge. Now I can't do anything with it, it comes up with the page giving me options to open up in safe mode etc but each time I select safe mode or anything else it just goes to the start page beeps one single beep now and then and just goes round the same loop every time.
Can anyone help me please?
Also the blue screen pops up briefly but not long enough for me to read it. I have got myself out of this before by running the chkdsk utility but not this time.
