Samsung X11 finally died, need help

Ive had a samsung x11 for about 3 years and its been great.
ive had a problem for the past few months with the power lead, keeps loosening and crashing.
It has finally stopped working today !!
I need to buy a new laptop ASAP and dont know which to get, things have changed since i bought this but its still better than alot.
Can anyone give me advice on which laptop to buy today, i like Samsung but ?
i need a dual core, 1gb ram, good speed at least 2 usb's, etc etc

The Acer Travelmate is a good one for a reasonable price, there's this one with dual core t6570 2.1GHz processor, 250GB HDD and 2GB RAM:
