So, what do you think? Will you be buying? Is it pointless to go up against the iPod?

Anything you want to know, now is the time, and this thread is the place.

If you've not read all about the player, what are you waiting for?

Yes, I have a question! Much of what I've read about the Spinn since release details were announced only mentions a 4gb and 8gb models. Will it definitely be available in 16gb? It seems ridiculous that a player so suited to navigating lumbersome trunks of information won't store it.

Also can you tell us more about the bluetooth function???

Yup, it'll definitely be available in 16GB, and eventually it could touch 32GB, we're told.

Bluetooth is stereo A2DP and can be paired with speakers and Bluetooth earphones that support the 2.0 profile.

Hi, I'm very happy to hear that it's 16gb (still small, but better than 8).
Luckily I live in South Korea so by the end of the day I'm going to head out to the electronics market to check this baby out for myself. I only wish I spoke better Korean!
I was wondering is it possible to simply drag and drop videos? If not, how easy is it to re-format them? Does it have TV out and Playlists? Is the stated battery life any good?

Thanks in advance.

How's the battery life on the spinn for video and audio? Do videos that were converted with handbrake work with the device?

Are you certain that 16GB will be available? Because it's not available in Korea. Also, how good is the screen really? It only shows 65k colors so I wouldn't think it'd be unbelievably great, regardless of whether it's OLED or not.

I bought an iRiver player a few years ago but it took forever to boot up and this got worse the more music I loaded it with so I got rid of it. Have things improved?

Absolutely certain. See the update posted to the original story for clarification.

Videos can be dragged and dropped just like music, yes. It's possible to convert them with iRiver Plus 3 which can be downloaded free from iRiver's website.

It doesn't have TV-out and as far as I can tell so far, playlists aren't supported.

Unfortunately I've physically not had the player long enough to do full battery drain tests, but rest assured I'll be adding that into the review as soon as I'm able to.

Music is rated at around 30 hours though.

As long as videos are converted into compatable formats and resolutions, they'll play, but the easiest way is to use iRiver Plus 3.
