Hi Nate,

Many thanks for your frequent injections of audio intelligence - much appreciated.

Now here's my question for you:

I've got an HTC TyTN II and am using my Sennheisers to listen to the latest CNET UK podcast or Bucks Fizz album on the go - great.

That said I'm on my third mini USB>3.5mm jack converter in 2 months and want a solution with greater longevity. Can you recommend a pair of stereo bluetooth headphones please?

The pre-requisites are:
- Compatible with the TyTN II
- Not too wirey (al la SE HBH-DS970)
- < £100
- Last longer than 3 weeks.

Much appreciated!

Basil

You could use Bluetooth headphones, which would be compatible and not 'wirey'.

Respect for the Bucks Fizz admission, it takes big cahoneys to say something like that.

Thanks JB,

Very handy link.

It's a real shame that the truly wireless A2DP headphones tend to have "fugliness" in common (and random that Motorola appear to make the best looking pair). Ah well.

I'll probably end up compromising on the "NO WIRES PLEASE" pre-requisite and go for the Jabra BT3030. That way, I can just use my CX 500s and carry on having a good time with bad music http://crackberry.com/review-jabra-bt3030-bluetooth-stereo-headset.

Thanks again,

Basil

There may be more elegant products the other people on here know about but as a concept it fits. Really, if you are listening to Bucks Fizz the earphones will not contribute too much to your overall style issue set. 8^)

Do you want full size headphones or little in-ear ones like your Sennheisers?

@ JB - See, that's the joy of headphones, only I know I'm rockin out to rubbish.

@ Nate - Decent quality at under £100 is my main thing. I don't like wires much, but I'm not adverse to a larger pair of headphones as I always carry a bag around with me.

Cheers

Basil

the "fugliness" of A2DP headphones, you say?

fugliness is history thanks to apt-X audio coding for Bluetooth A2DP. Sennheiser now offers apt-X instead of bog-standard SBC - the default, low-complexity audio codec for A2DP - in its brand new portable wireless headphone models PXC 310 BT (with noise-cancelling too) and PX 210 BT.

Could I ask what you would use them for mainly? Pottering about the house? The gym?
