Hi! NateI'm a proffessional music listener specially rock and metal bands with high level basses u know!! .So sound quality is an important issue for me.what is your offer between Cowon s9 and ipod touch. another question: is the viewing angles in ipod an important problem, comparing to excellent AMOLED screen of s9.

the cowon s9 offers better sound quality, definitely.
And I'm not sure compared to the s9, but viewing angles are definitely not a problem on the ipod touch

does OLED actually improve the viewing angle? If anything I thought it would be reduced on the S9 as it appears to have a curved design

I believe that, in general, OLED screens have really good viewing angles, but I'm not sure about the s9

The Cowon has the edge by a wide margin in terms of sound quality. However, as long as you're using a decent quality sound file, it's your headphones that will make the most difference here.

As for viewing angle, our S9 is somewhere else so I can't do a side-by-side comparison, but the S9 has the better screen overall. Be aware it is slightly smaller, though.

I personally as a great fan of apple would go for the ipod touch but the s9 or whatever it is called doesn't sound bad at all. I have just looked at the tech spec and i would go for the 9 even as a great apple fan.

I have recentley bought a cowon s9 32gb and can say the audio and video quality is superb. The screen is flat on the cowon no curves. and the video quality is stunning. The audio is as good , with many ways to ajust the quality of sound. There are many reviews saying about the cowons UI . Yes , its not as easy as a ipod touch . It is a little different but after two days playing with it , it is now a doddle to navigate around. It works well with windows media player although tagging album art was a bit tricky to start off with.I have no regrets in buying the cowon s9.
