Hi,

I'm going to Kenya at the end of July for my honeymoon and looking at DSLRs. I think I want the Sony Alpha A300 but just wanting to ask around for others opinion as to whether I can get better for around £350?

Thanks,

Jessops are running a special deal at the moment, body and standard kit lens for £329
Sony A300

if you dont need the live view mode, take a look at the a200 instead, much cheap £270ish (Amazon) and pretty much the same camera

I will get the kit set with lens. Otherwise, its gona cost a little bit more. I purhcased all my DSLRs and accessories at here and they do very competitive prices and you can see a lot of accessories you may need in the future for your camera. Good luck and enjoy the big mofo smile

Hi.I am a bit late with this reply but it may help someone else.We bought an Alpha 300 from jessops for my good lady. She hardly used the camera and after only 44 days the LCD display screen died.We returned the camera the following weekend and we were told it would take four to six weeks to repair. We then recieved a letter stating that it was ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE and we would have to pay for rapairs. The camera had been used as a camera and not dropped or banged. It was alwas treated with great care. The LCD screen is a bit of a Heath Robbinson affair but surely it should stand up to NORMAL USE.
My advise is do not even think of this as a good option.I have been onto customer service and they are worse than the camera.
