Hello all. I am looking for some sound comparatory advice between these two cameras, should anyone have it. From my research, both seem to be good, similarly priced machines with many of the same features and specs, but with subtle unique elements (style, touch screen, hardiness et al). I have had a CyberShot in the past and found it to be cute and largely competent, but a little bit of style over substance. The camera is to accompany me on a 2 week cycle trip in Central America so it is important to be: Durable Long battery life High zoom capability Good quality video (with in-shot zoom functionality) Light and compact As far as I can tell the main comparison stacks up: Pro Panasonic: Durable Deeper Zoom Pro Sony: More Megapixels Better in and out zoom capability Smaller and lighter I am swayed by the Panasonic, in all areas apart from the reviews saying that the AF and movie zoom speeds are sluggish and unresponsive (I anticipate most of my best shots on the trip will be random and unplanned, so responsivity will be key) Can anyone give me their vibe (be it partisan or not!), on which of these cameras may serve me better? Thanks in advance, Dan
