Hello! Is there anybody out there? I gig as a singer/guitarist. On stage I use a Sony Laptop using Sonic Stage for playing my WAV backing tracks when i perform and Media Player for MP3 background music and the occassional disco. I switched from a Tascam mini disc player which did have a solo switch. Using a laptop is so much easier but the only bugbear is that i have to hit the space bar after every song in the hope that i can stop it before the next one starts. I am very happy with Sonic Stage particularly as it allows me to have the words on display for every song should i have a mental block. Is changing to DJ software the only option? It is a question that not only me, but a number of my musical buddies, most of us struggling with any technology, would like to know the answer to. I hope you guys can help Cheers Just George

Put each song in it's own playlist. That way there won't be a next song to start playing automatically.

Thanks Rich i suppose it's either that or go back to mini discs, yuk! it may mean i have to set up around 1500 playlists but i suppose we have to conform to the capabilities of the platform. i have a gig on sunday i will give it a try. i use radio mikes and walk about it, would be nice if i didn't have to run back to the stage aftter every song. thanks loads george
